The Bequest Programme

The Supporters of Tiritiri Matangi welcome all types of donations, including bequests, which we will use to further our work on the Island.

Over the years, we hope to build up a substantial fund. Income from the fund will be used to offset normal programme and operating costs, while capital may be used to part-fund larger projects such as new buildings.

We recognise that it is necessary to ensure a steady and reliable funding stream. This gives us confidence to make important commitments in employing staff, planning long-term projects to enhance the Island's ecosystems and infrastructure, and large capital projects.

As many charities have discovered, bequests can become a very significant source of funds, and one which is not usually impacted by short-term pressures on potential donors.

If you are considering making a bequest and would like to find out more please contact our chairperson or any member of the committee.
